JET'S VARIABLE SPEED VERTICAL MILLING MACHINES:

 If you are looking for a variable speed vertical milling machine with quality, JET has the ID#690020 and the #690025 for your review!

Jet starts with the Meehanite® castings where you get the best rigidity in your mill.  Add in their precision honed and bored milling heads and high-precision Class 7 spindle bearings and you know that you have a great mill to buy. The Variable Speed mill offers:

  • Quick spindle feed nut.

  • A three stage power downfeed with an automatic stop.

  • Heavy-duty spindle brake, precision hardened and ground ways and table.

  • It comes with three precision ground T-slots and Turcite B on the X and Y axes.

  • JET adds adjustable gibs throughout and a Spindle guard that protects the user from flying debris. 

  • JET also has a spindle brake for rapid stopping of the spindle and an automatic lubrication every 180 minutes with a flow of 3-6 CC which reduces maintenance of your new mill. 

  • JET includes the emergency stop on their mills for immediate shut-off: a great safety feature.

  • The mills come with a Quick nut for the spindle. 

The Variable Speed vertical mill JTM1254VS comes with NT 40 spindle taper and their model: JTM1254RVS comes with the R8 spindle taper. Both of these mills have 12" x 54" tables.   Each mill is built with quality but both  offer slightly different features.   Our qualified staff can walk you through these features, helping you to decide which Variable Speed mill you want in your shop.

This JET Electronic Variable Speed models comes with an optional Digital Readout System from ACU-RITE®. ID#691500 and ID#691600.

The DRO utilized now would be the DRO203, a very popular, well constructed, precision system  with lots of versatility. This mill comes with the certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing inside to ensure extra rigidity and tolerance retention.

It also features:

  • A swing -away control box that an e-stop and puts all the controls right at the operator's fingertips.

  • The innovative design of these machine base provides an easier solution to level the machine without raising it up off of the floor.

  • It has an Automatic oiler releasing 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable time intervals.

  • This mill features the heavy-duty spindle break stops the spindle and interrupts the power, preventing an accidental start-up, especially after a power outage.

  • The electric box has been relocated to the back of the mill and houses two 115V outlets for powered accessories. 

  • JET has strict guidelines and electrical requirements on these JET mills. They are CSA/CUS certified. 

  • You can also add an X-powerfeed as an optional feature. 

  • These JET mills come with JET's RED 30 point inspection, the certified Meehanite® casting, and TAA compliant.

9" x 49" Variable Speed Milling Machines for sale:

The ID# 690182 and ID# 690180 are 9" x 49" variable speed milling machines. They also come with the Certified Meehanite® castings that provide a uniform soundness, consistent physical and mechanical properties resulting in a dependable performances.  JET offers the following features in these two models:

  • They have the precision bored and honed milling heads for extra quality heads.

  • These mills come with large diameter quill that is chromed. 

  • These two models also come with the High-precision Class 7 spindle bearings.
